Football is officially back, and the crew wastes no time jumping into Week 1 predictions, team loyalty, upset picks and plenty of trash talk.
Before the NFL talk takes over, JWest4Life recaps his first trip to Las Vegas, including surviving the 100-degree heat and experiencing The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere. Shaking seats, wind, drones, water and full 4D movie experiences lead the crew to one conclusion: if the theater is doing all that, they might as well put you in the movie.
Then Australia comes up, which somehow turns into a debate about kangaroo tails, oxtails and the possibility that some people might not know exactly what they’ve been eating.
“You think you had oxtail.”
From there, the crew breaks down the NFL Week 1 slate, including Patriots-Seahawks, Rams-49ers, Packers-Vikings, Cowboys-Giants, Ravens-Colts, Bills-Texans and more. Everybody puts their picks on record and gives early season expectations for their favorite teams.
The conversation takes another hilarious turn when the guys question why people are wearing hoodies in 100-degree weather. That leads to a full discussion about hygiene, younger generations and what the crew officially labels a “funky culture.”
The episode also gets serious as the guys discuss devastating flooding in Nepal, severe weather, tornadoes, lightning and the terrifying power of nature. That opens the door to a conversation about the Titanic submersible, deep-sea pressure, thalassophobia and why exploring the bottom of the ocean is absolutely not on anybody’s bucket list.
Mwanje switches gears to the NBA and breaks down the controversy surrounding Kawhi Leonard, Steve Ballmer, the Clippers and allegations involving sponsorship money and salary-cap circumvention. The crew debates how professional sports teams can use outside business opportunities to attract star players and how often similar situations may happen behind the scenes.
To close the show, the crew tackles a relationship question: if a couple has been together for 10 years, lives together and has three kids, should they basically be considered married?
After debating common-law marriage, finances, commitment and long-term relationships, the question becomes simple:
